The short version

  • Classic aluminium strength gripper with a steel spring, with no adjustment or counter.
  • Six fixed resistance levels, from 100 lb (45 kg) to 350 lb (159 kg); buy one for each level.
  • Black or silver finish, 220 grams, with a box and two foam sleeves.
  • If you are unsure between two resistances, choose the lower one and close it fully.

Description

If adjustable plastic grippers are no longer enough, this is the next step. A classic-style gripper with two finely knurled aluminium alloy handles and a single-resistance steel spring. There is no adjustment wheel, no counter and nothing to loosen: each gripper has a fixed resistance, and progressing means moving on to the next one.

It comes in six nominal resistance levels, from 100 pounds (45 kg) to 350 pounds (159 kg). As a guide, the 100 lb model is a demanding starting point if you already train; 150–200 lb is where most people who take grip training seriously work; and from 250 lb upwards is climbing, weightlifting and strongman territory. If you are unsure between two, choose the lower one: closing the gripper fully with good technique is worth more than forcing one that you cannot close.

The handle knurling keeps it from slipping even when your hand is sweaty, and its 220-gram weight makes it clear that this is a tool, not a toy. It comes in its box with two foam sleeves for anyone who prefers a softer grip during the first sessions or wants to protect their palms during long sets.

Train your hand closing strength, forearm and wrist: what holds the bar in the deadlift, what keeps you on the pull-up bar and what tires before your back during rows. It fits in any bag and needs nothing else.

Frequently asked questions

Which resistance should I choose if I have never used a metal gripper?
The 100 lb (45 kg) model. It may look like little on paper, but closing it fully with a tired hand is harder than it seems. When you can close it ten times in a row without cheating, move on to the 150.
Are the pounds exact?
They are nominal resistances, as with all grippers of this type: they are used to order the levels against each other, not as a laboratory measurement. What matters is that each level is clearly harder than the previous one.
Can the resistance be adjusted?
No, and that is intentional. Each gripper has a fixed spring. To move up a level, buy the next resistance, which is how grip training works in climbing and weightlifting.
What are the foam sleeves for?
Put them over the handles if you prefer a softer grip, for example during the first sessions or very long sets. Without them, the aluminium knurling provides a firmer grip.
How long does delivery take?
It leaves the supplier's warehouse and usually reaches Spain in 10 to 17 working days, including preparation. You will receive the tracking number as soon as it is dispatched.
