Description
A foam roller makes you get down on the floor and support your body weight with your arms while you move over it. This works while you are sitting: open the ring, close it around your calf or thigh, and slide it up and down with both hands.
It has five rollers positioned around the inside of the ring, so pressure reaches all four sides of the muscle in the same pass. The rollers are made from rigid, textured plastic, not foam. You notice them more than a soft roller, and that is the point.
The frame has some flexibility, so you can use the same ring on a calf or a thigh. Open it just enough to put it in place, then release it.
You can also use it on your arm, forearm and trapezius, although it is used most often on the leg after running. It weighs 477 grams with the packaging, so it fits into a sports bag without a second thought.
Clean it with a damp cloth. The colour varies between blue, purple and pink, depending on availability. You cannot choose the colour.

- How is it different from a foam roller?
- It differs in how you use it. A foam roller goes on the floor and you move over it; this one closes around the limb and you move it with your hands while sitting. It is also firmer because the rollers are made from plastic rather than foam.
- Can I choose the colour?
- No. The supplier sends it in blue, purple or pink depending on availability, and there is no way to reserve a particular colour. We say this here so it is not a surprise when you open the parcel.
- Can I use it on my thigh, or only on my calf?
- You can use it on both. The frame flexes enough to open around a thigh, although the pressure is greater on narrower areas. It fits easily around the arm and forearm.
- How do I clean it?
- Use a damp cloth and dry it afterwards. The rollers turn on an axle, so avoid putting it in water or the dishwasher.
